United States Sim features a hybrid approach to the standard Discord-based government simulation. We have a fully featured Discord server, with a custom bot, and a web dashboard (found on this site) that allows us to run a more functional economic system and an easier to use election model. We also simulate a 100-seat Senate and a 435-seat House of Representatives, with party whips and leadership positions to ensure that the simulation runs smoothly and that NPC members exist.
In past renditions of USS, we've attempted various different ways of running economics alongside your standard government simulation.
The issue? Well, the issue was that we were trying to run a fully fledged economy through chat commands. It was a mess, and it was hard to keep track of. So, we decided to move to a web-based system, where you can buy and sell products, run companies, and more, all through a web dashboard.
